LEARNER CENTERED INSTRUCTION
a) What is learner centered instruction (LCI)?
Learner centered instruction is the process which students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge according their expectations during the learning process.
b) What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?
The teacher becomes the facilitator of the learning with different kind of strategies, resources and activities which students feels the support and the motivation in their work.
c) The four key principles of student centered learning
1. Learning is personalized: It´s important that teachers know students´ background to differenciate their methodology to apply in the class.
2. Learning is competency based: It alloes students to develop their knowledge to solve their real problems.
3. Learning happens anytime - anywhere: Students have the possibility to learn in any place in every moment because it never stops.
4. Students take ownership: Teachers and students are the important parts in the process but the students are the centered of the learning because they have to empower their own knowledge.
